The World Green Building Council is excited to announce the formal acceptance of GBC España, Poland GBC, Dutch GBC and Singapore GBC as the next fully established Green Building Council to the GBC Network.
This brings the number of fully established Councils to 20, with an additional 46 groups working to establish GBCs within their respective countries. Each GBC works within their respective countries to promote the market transformation towards a sustainable built environment. Collectively, the WorldGBC’s network of GBCs represents one of the most significant forces available to have an impact globally on reducing carbon emissions.

The World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) has appointed New Zealander Jane Henley as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Ms Henley will step down as CEO of the New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) to take up the role, beginning in April. She is currently on the board of the WorldGBC.

The World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) and the International Union of Architects (UIA) took a step toward strengthening their working relationship when they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Sydney today.
The MOU defines the collaborative relationship between the UIA and the WorldGBC and sees the two organisations agreeing to form a partnership to accomplish shared goals of improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the world’s large cities.
